Although licensing is not required to perform home inspections in California, there are two new bills on the agenda which may go a long way toward protecting prospective home buyers from unscrupulous or unqualified home inspectors.

• I have passed the examinations issued by the California Real Estate Inspectors Association (CREIA) and the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI).
• I abide by the CREIA Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics.
